Steintec Tuffjoint

This revolutionary cementitious dry application jointing mortar is easy to use and suitable for all types of paving, including porcelain, Sandstone, Concrete, and Granite. For use on paths, patios and driveways. tuffjoint does NOT CONTAIN Resins or Polymers.

Available in four colours: Flint, Anthracite, Hessian, and Cream. Supplied in 12.5 kg tubs with a coverage of up to 31 m².

tuffjoint has been produced and tested for easy use and for high-quality, hard-wearing jointing with no mixing required.

1. Sweep in the dry mortar using a squeegee and/or a broom/brush.
2. When joints are full, remove dry excess tuffjoint from the paving.
3. Apply water using a hose, and set on a fine mist spray until water pools on the surface.
4. Use a Washboy or Washboy Pro to clean the paving units.

If tuffjoint is swept in dry, any excess can be returned to the tub and used at a later date, resulting in minimal wastage.

DO use a fine mist spray of water to avoid dislodging the product.
DO use the right equipment for the cleaning process. We can not stress the importance of using the right equipment for the cleaning process. i.e. Washboy with rollers and sponge float.
DO check the weather forecast before installing. Cover the paved area post-installation if rain is forecast within 6 hours, to avoid any rain dislodging the mortar.

DON’T install it when raining.

The joints may need topping up after watering, as the water added will push the mortar into any voids in the joints. Pour mortar onto affected areas and then repeat the process. 
A hose with a fine mist spray or a hand sprayer should be used to wet the mortar once brushed into the joints.

tuffjoint can be used on damp paving; it will clump up and will require the joints to be topped up once the misted-on water pushes the clumps down into the joints. Dry paving allows the mortar to flow easier and allows unused tuffjoint to be returned to the tub for future use.
